Terms
Last updated 26 August 2026
These terms are not finished. TaffGo hasn't launched, and the full passenger and driver agreements are being drawn up with a solicitor before it does. What's below is a plain description of how the service is intended to work — it isn't a contract yet, and nobody has agreed to anything.
Who you're dealing with
TaffGo is a trading name of David Hooper Home Limited, company number 17018784, registered in England and Wales.
TaffGo intends to operate as a licensed private hire operator. That means when you book through the app, your booking is accepted by us and we arrange a licensed driver to carry it out. We are not able to accept bookings until Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council has granted that licence.
Prices
You're shown the price before you book, and that's what you pay. It's calculated from the distance and expected time of the journey, and it's held for a few minutes while you decide.
The price can change afterwards only if the journey itself changes — you add a stop, change the destination, or keep the driver waiting beyond the free period. If that happens you'll be told at the time, not on the receipt.
Paying
We place a hold on your card for the fare when you book, and take it when the journey finishes. A hold isn't a charge: the money is reserved, not taken, and if the journey doesn't happen it's released.
Cancelling
Cancelling before a driver is assigned is free, and so is cancelling within a couple of minutes of one accepting. After that, if a driver has already set off, there's a cancellation fee — it goes to the driver, not to us.
If a driver cancels, or we cancel, you're not charged.
Behaviour
Drivers can refuse or end a journey if someone is unsafe or abusive. We can suspend accounts, passenger or driver, for the same reasons.
Complaints and the law
Nothing in these terms affects your rights under consumer law. Complaints go to us first — see the help page — and to RCT's licensing team if you're not satisfied with how we've dealt with it.
